Initial Training
In our first training session with Koda, we focused on understanding how dogs think and the specific needs of a puppy approaching adolescence. We talked about everything from nutrition to speaking Koda's language, ensuring the family could guide him in a way he'd understand.

We started with foundational skills, like teaching Koda to leave the front door area and lay calmly in his bed. At the time, Koda was more interested in playing with his pink bear than guarding the front door—which was perfectly fine for this happy-go-lucky pup.
 

Follow Up Training

Our follow-up sessions focused on building good habits while walking around the neighborhood and learning to be respectful. We taught Koda not to bark at every sound, as his parents had all the security they needed without his commentary.

Koda was full of youthful energy, and it wasn’t always easy, but consistency won out. Before long, he became the best boy—earning his title as "the bestest" with his polite and friendly manners.

Life Change : New Home

When Koda moved into a new home, we were called back to help him adjust to his new environment, which now included a backyard, new neighbors, and many more squirrels! During this time, Koda’s parents also wanted to host friends with dogs, so we showed everyone a simple, effective way to guide their dogs through introductions.

Today, Koda hosts birthday parties with his dog buddies, making the most of his new space and friendships.

Life Change: Baby
When Koda’s family announced a new baby was on the way, we returned to help prepare Koda for the big changes ahead. We practiced walking with a stroller and simulated life with a baby so Koda could learn his role in advance.

By the time the baby arrived, Koda already knew what to do. He was excited to welcome mom and dad home after their day away at the hospital—it felt like forever! The introductions went smoothly because Koda was prepared; he knew how to be calm and gentle.

Today, when the baby wakes and cries, Koda is the first to rush to the bassinet, eager to help mom care for the little one. Every morning, he wakes up, finds mom, and checks on the baby, fully embracing his role as a loving big brother.
