Vinny
-
Vinny's parent wanted to offer Vinny the best
-
During Covid, noone visited and Vinny became very protective
-
Noone can enter the house and not be aggressed
Coming from a shelter, Vinny met the best rescuer he could ask for. Being the tail end of COVID, Vinny was very comfortable being alone with his owner. Alas humans like to socialize and Vinny needed help., Vinny was put on medication for anxiety.
VINNY

Initial Training
Our 1st Training session we explained how dogs think, what the needs of a rescue dog are and how they fit into life as a rescued dog.
We talked about nutrition, how to speak Vinny's language and how to move around the house they way a dog would guiding Vinny on what expected.
First we taught him to leave the front door area and go and lay in his crate, with the door open. He has zero skills for helping at the door.
Follow Up Training
In follow up training, we did alot of practise to ensure he was comfortable with his owner answering the door. We then moved on to having people in the home for coffee without growling or making people uncomfortable.
We walked in their neighbourhood and then ventured to public parks and Flea markets. It was great to get Vinny out in public and not be worried he would lunge or snap at people dogs
Reactivity
Vinny joined us for Training at the Park, as he was now very calm around other dogs and provided a model for other dogs out for training on how to calm and relaxed.
Vinny always checks in with his owner to make sure he is keeping her happy
